is a sterile dressing for direct contact with the wound which contains a wound contact layer consisting of soft silicone adhesive, a flexible absorbent pad in two layers and a transparent outer film which is breathable but waterproof.

In contact with the wound the absorbent pad absorbs exudate spreading fluids to a wide surface, minimizes the risk for maceration and maintains a moist environment. There are special semi-perforated T shape patterns in the absorbent layer which provide dynamic flexibility. The silicone wound contact layer minimizes discomfort to patients and trauma to wounds and the surrounding skin at dressing removal. The outer film provides a barrier to external contaminants.
